News - January 20, 2016 - Criticism of the housing conditions for farmed mink has been rejected by the European Commission with reference to the "science-based animal welfare programme" WelFur. News - December 23, 2015 - The Latvian Fur Breeders' Association experience a growing interest from designers who want to use fur in their collections. Most recently fashion designer Alexander Pavlov presented a collection of 26 fur styles at the Column Hall of the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation.

New “scientific” study on fur farming is not very scientific

Dutch fur farmers to appeal court decision

News - November 11, 2015 - Dutch mink farmers will appeal the Dutch appeal Court's decision to reintroduce a ban on mink farming. The court found it justified to ban the business of mink farming without offering compensation, but the Dutch farmers are willing to go all the way to the European Court of Human Rights.
