Fur skin sales take a turn up at Saga Furs’ June auction

June 30, 2015 - Saga Furs' June auction achieved sales of 63 million euro more than last year's auction in June. 3,3 million mink skins and 680,000 fox skins were on offer.

Saga Furs has reported a positive result of its June auction with a total value of auction sales of almost 220 million Euro – 63 million Euro more compared to last year’s auction in June.

3,3 million mink and 680,000 fox and finnraccoon were purchased. Mink skins on offer were sold almost 100 percent under strong competition in the auction room, with slightly better prices for better qualities and velvet skins (short-haired). Saga Furs’ June auction also included approximately 560,000 certified Blue Fox skins, which were all sold with a 5-10 percent price decreases compared to the auction in May. Around 800 customers, a new record, from all market regions attended the auction. The next Saga Furs auction sales will start with inspection on 12 September, followed by the selling that will occur between 17 and 21 September.
